5 important things to consider before going back to a cheater

Anyone who has been cheated on has always come to a cross road where they either leave their cheating partner or try to mend things and give love a second chance.

But if you have a partner who cheats on you and you're thinking of your options, there are certain factors to consider before walking away or taking that person back into your life.

According to Ebony , here are some factors to consider before accepting a cheater:

1. Knowing their private details: Trying to know everything about the private details of a cheating partner is bound to happen because of trust issues between you two. It's not easy to trust a cheater completely but infringing totally into their privacy could mean more trouble and drive both of you further apart.

2. Listening to outside opinion: When trying to mend your relationship with a cheating partner, try as much as possible to shut out the disapproving voices of people around you. Try not to judge your partner based on their judgements because it'll make your relationship worse than it ever was.

3. Put sex on hold: Jumping right into bed with your cheating partner could complicate matters for the two of you. Wait till your emotions are stable enough to put behind you the cheating incident. Having sex with your partner when your trust is still fickle would do you more harm than ever.

4. How risky is the situation?: After being faced with the news of a cheating partner it's proper to go for medical checkups. Take an inventory of the associated risk and got test yourself for STDs and HIV before you think of reuniting with him/her.

5. Counselling: Meeting up with a relationship counsellor if you can't handle the hurt and pain alone is advisable. Talk to them and see if your relationship can be salvaged or not. Once a cheater...always a cheater may be not be true in this case. So seeking professional help in this setting is highly advisable.

5 unfair requests to ask from your partner

Relationships are filled with compromises, but sometimes we could cross that fine line between compromise and selfishness. Asking your partner to do something for you out of sheer selfishness isn't fair to them.

We all love to feel like we have a certain amount of control over our partners, but exerting that control negatively could breed resentment overtime.

According to All Women Stalk , here are some things that would be unfair to ask of your partner:

1. Stop being close friends: Unless you have a concrete reason, there's absolutely no need to ask your partner to stop being friends with a female or male pal. Sometimes your jealousy could get in the way of you thinking clearly. But in situations where you are constantly being attacked by your partner's friend, then it's okay to go ahead with your request.

2. Change looks : This includes asking them to lose weight. You liked your partner that way which was why you agreed to enter into a relationship in the first place, so why trying to change them to suit yourself? Unless they seek your opinion, let your partner be if they are comfortable qith their looks.

3. Reduce time spent with family: If your partner comes from a big family, pulling them away will be like pulling out teeth. Telling your partner to spend less time with their parents and siblings is quite unfair and could gather up ill feelings.

4. Resign from their jobs: You shouldn't ask your partner to resign from their job knowing that they really happy where they are. It's really hard to find people who have passion for what they do, which is why asking them to quit would be really unfair on your part.

5. Tag you along every time: No matter how close you two have become, a little 'me' time is required for the survival of your relationship. Smothering your partner with your presence is not acceptable.

Double standards - 7 kinds of 'biases' that hurt men and women

Double standards are certain biases that affect men and women in modern times. These bias cover our way of life and define our masculinity or femininity.

It kills a certain display of emotions as a result of what the society would perceive you as. For instance, why is it okay for a woman to cry in public but it's not acceptable for a man to do so? It's all due to double standards by which men and women are being judged.

According to The Good Men Project, here are 7 double standards that hurt men and women:

1. A woman who collects money from her husband is seen as being in a successful relationship while a man who collects money from his wife is a financial liability.

2. A woman who sits in a children's playground is a mother, a man who sits in the same playground is a child molester.

3. A married man without a job is seen as a failure while a jobless wife is seen as a homemaker.

4. A man who raises his kids has nothing serious to do while a woman who raises her kids at home is doing what is natural.

5. Girls who love to snuggle with their boyfriends are affectionate while boys who love snuggling with their girlfriends are seen as needy.

6. A man who wants a tall, slim and fit woman is objectifying her while a lady who wants a tall and built man has really high taste.

7. A man who weeps in the presence of everyone is weak while a woman who cries in public has feelings.

I Am Not A Role Model -Loose Kaynon

Chocolate City rapper, Loose Kaynon, has maintained that he is a regular guy, as opposed to insinuations by some that he is a role model. In an exclusive chat with Naij.com, he talked about his art, as well as his slightly bohemian nature.

The bearded rapper believes the hip hop scene in Nigeria has promising features and chances of achieving greater heights.
He said: “The art is growing and I don’t feel the need to rush things. But as for international collaborations, I think I’ll like one with Lauryn Hill.”
The rapper, born Joakin Ikazoboh, said he didn’t feel the urge to hide any part of himself in his music but speaks his mind regardless of who gets hurt.

“I’m a regular guy, basically. I am not a role model. I’m just a guy who’s got a mic in front of him. I try to be as honest as possible on my records… but then again the fact that songs are censored today doesn’t mean they won’t get out. Because that it’s not on terrestrial TV doesn’t mean they won’t find it. I try to be me, to do the best I can to touch key areas with my fans. But above all, I try to leave a message when I can.”
On comparisons with Rick Ross, he smiled: “I dunno. I guess it’s just cuz of the beards thing.”

Many people may not know how much the rapper has given to the industry because he isn’t as popular as his contemporaries. But real hip hop heads pay attention when his name pops up in a conversation because they have been following his craft.

Reacting to this, the rapper said: “Me and a few folks started Wax Lyrical, the popular hip hop freestyle show, back then at Koko Lounge, Lagos. We used to have a great deal of hip hop guys come through and just do their thing. It was mad fun. But I stopped because the management weren’t willing to pay me.

“We had the late DaGrin on stage a number of times and he was a cool guy who really just came on there, did his thing and then (he would) go back to his corner and sip his drink. Olamide got one of his biggest career openers on that stage as well, as he would come on and freestyle his songs every other week before he became this popular.

“He saw me once, back in the day and tried to bow and thank me and I am like ‘yo, this was never about me, this was just about like minds coming together and doing big things with the music. You see, these are things that make one proud. I can’t take any praises because if I can succeed in making even just one person great by virtue of Wax Lyrical, then I think my job here is over.”

Loose Kaynon hails from Edo State and has a number of buzzing singles such as ‘Halleluyah’ and ‘Aka Na Enu’ featuring Phyno, among others. He is signed to Chocolate City, which is currently under the aegis of MI Abaga, who acts in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer.
