Justin Timberlake takes Tom Ford wardrobe on tour
More than just a suit and tie: Tom Ford has created an entire tour wardrobe for Justin Timberlake which numbers 600 pieces
Tom Ford and Justin Timberlake already have a close relationship with the designer creating the artwork for JT's 20/20 album, kitting out the singer for his Suit and Tie video and providing the groom's outfit for his recent wedding to Jessica Biel - not to mention those of half the wedding party.
However, this time Ford has gone way beyond that classic suit and tie. The designer and former Gucci supremo has created an entire wardrobe for Timberlake's 20/20 World Experience Tour which begins tonight in New York - all 600 pieces of it.
But in case you were wondering exactly how many outfit changes JT was planning to execute, it's not all for him. Although the selection includes eight custom looks for Timberlake, there are also original looks for the tour's band members, vocalists and dancers - pretty much the entire production.
Says Ford: "Justin has great personal style and knows what he wants which makes designing for him an absolute pleasure. He is a tremendous talent and has a kind of effortless cool that makes classic menswear tailoring modern."
It just goes to show that name checking Ford on your album like Jay-Z doesn't get you everything...
